Free printable gift tags for teachers
Do you have a lot of teachers and very little time? Or just want to add a unique flare to your child’s next gift? These teacher gift tags are a great way to do just that!
I am always (trying) to prep ahead for teacher’s gifts throughout the year but I always, always, forget the card. Honestly I struggle with the idea of paying $5 for something that is just going to get tossed in the trash. That’s just not feasible to me!
Printable gift tags for teacher’s gifts
Print these cards at home and attach them with a gift for your teacher gift, daycare director, bus driver, principal, or whoever else is a large part of your child’s day and deserves that recognition! And it doesn’t have to be something huge, honestly. Ask any teacher and it’s not about the gift, it’s about the thought behind it!
Here are a few simple ideas for gift giving to go along with your tag!
- Dunkin’ Donuts $5 gift card (everyone loves donuts)
- Target $10 gift card
- Their favorite drink and/or candy
- School equipment such as dry erase markers, highlighters, pens
- Tylenol for when the kids get too loud
They work hard for our kids, and little “Thank you’s” along the way I know mean so much.

How to print your gift tags
In the field below you’ll see that i’ve included two options and I am going to explain why (trust me.. it will make sense!).
Print using Avery rectangular gift tags
Printing with Avery tags is honestly my personal favorite, you can simply order them online (check out the supply list below) or pick them up at your local office supply store! Then just follow the steps on inserting the sheet into your printer, they come with easy to follow visual instructions telling you which end to face down.
The key for this is to make sure your printer is set to print “actual size” otherwise it will not line up properly! I strongly recommend doing a test print on a standard sheet of paper and holding it up to the tag template to make sure your settings are correct.
Print using card stock
Printing with just card stock is great for a last minute print! Because obviously you don’t have time to order labels as you’re running out the door haha. I recommend using card stock if you have some on hand (if not, definitely order some for future use – they’re great for printables!). If not that’s totally ok, they’ll work on standard paper too!
Choose the option below for the standard labels and print them off and follow the lines to cut it out into the tag shape. And that’s it, you’re ready to go!
Supplies Needed:
Below are the supplies I recommend to get the best out of your new printable!
- Printer (this HP ones my favorite)
- Avery Rectangular Gift Tags (this printable is made to fit these perfectly!)
- Bright White Cardstock (recommended if you don’t use the gift tags above)
Why print your own tags at home?
Creating your own printable gift tags is a unique and personal way to add a special touch to your gift-giving! It’s a great way to show you put thought and effort into the gift, and the recipient will appreciate the extra touch of creativity and care.
On top of it being personable it eliminates the need to purchase expensive pre-made tags, and instead allows you to print as many tags as you need at a much lower cost and without the need to run to the store when you realize you need them! Because, if you’re like me, you don’t realize you need things for a gift until you’re wrapping it up last minute ready to run out the door haha.
