Free printable Christmas gift tags
Christmas time is coming! Ok, technically it’s still a few months away but I always like to start my countdown in January because I have serious issues. I admit to them.
With so much to do at Christmas time it’s smart to get ahead and start working on the small things, like gift tags! You could go to the store and spend $5 on each card an exhaust your budget on that alone. Or you could just buy them outright on Amazon and save the hassle. Or you could use these super cute printable Christmas gift tags right at home!
Easy to use Christmas gift tags
These are super easy to use and cover a wide array of Christmas themed colors and saying to make sure it matches just about anyone’s gift giving style! I know some of you color code your wrapping paper and I applaud you, I truly do. You have more strength and patience than I could ever muster haha.

How to print your gift tags
In the box below you’ll see that i’ve included two options and I am going to explain why (trust me.. it will make sense!).
Print using Avery rectangular gift tags
This method is honestly my personal favorite, you can simply order them online (check out the supply list below) or pick them up at your local office supply store!
Then just follow the steps on inserting the sheet into your printer (these sheets come with easy to follow visual instructions telling you which end to face down).
The key for this is to make sure your printer is set to print “actual size” otherwise it will not line up properly! I strongly recommend doing a test print on a standard sheet of paper and holding it up to the tag template to make sure your settings are correct.
Print using card stock
This method is great for a last minute print! Because obviously you don’t have time to order labels as you’re running out the door haha.
I recommend using card stock if you have some on hand (if not, definitely order some for future use – they’re great for printables!). If not that’s totally ok, they’ll work on standard paper too!
Choose the option below for the standard labels and print them off and follow the lines to cut it out into the tag shape. And that’s it, you’re ready to go!
Why print your own tags at home?
Creating your own printable gift tags is a unique and personal way to add a special touch to your gift-giving! It’s a great way to show you put thought and effort into the gift, and the recipient will appreciate the extra touch of creativity and care.
On top of it being personable it eliminates the need to purchase expensive pre-made tags, and instead allows you to print as many tags as you need at a much lower cost and without the need to run to the store when you realize you need them! Because, if you’re like me, you don’t realize you need things for a gift until you’re wrapping it up last minute ready to run out the door haha.
