It’s a different world that we live in today, drastically different than where it was just 30 years ago! There is so much more to worry about when we send our kids out into the world each day. Will they come home safe? Will someone be cruel at school? Will something be said about them on social media? Will someone try to hurt them? I won’t lie. I spend many nights, as a mother, in tears over all of these “What if” scenarios. It’s a different time.

And while we know we cannot be with them all day long and we can’t hide them from the outside world, we can cover them in prayer each and every day!

Make this a daily prayer

This printable is not meant to be a one time prayer, it is meant to be a daily prayer over your children’s lives. For those days where you just don’t have the words due to other thins going on (as much as I adore my children – some days I struggle!).

Why a daily prayer?

Each day is new and presents different challenges your child will face. And while, of course, God doesn’t forget our prayers the day before – it’s also a good reminder for ourselves! It’s reminds you of what your child may be going through right now and helps you to focus your thoughts on what’s important, them.

Where do I hang it?

You can hang it anywhere, however, I recommend hanging it somewhere you are likely to see and remember each night around bedtime. For instance, you can hang it in the hallway by your children’s door (this is where mine is) so after you put them to bed you can prayer over them.

Or hang it by the door so you can pray over them as they leave for school each day! Hang it anywhere you feel will be a good reminder for yourself.

What does the printable say?

Lord God,

I pray for an unexplainable protection over my children today and every day forward, that You keep watch over them and be their shepherd in a world full of wolves.

Let Your word take root in them Lord. Bring joy to their soul, peace over their minds, love in their hearts, and strength to their body.

I thank You God that You will choose the right friends and relationships for them, ones who will encourage them in the things of the Lord and rejoice with them.

I break every generational curse, knowing or unknowing, and cancel any attempt the enemy makes to lead my child down a path to nowhere.

Lord give them an unshakable confidence, an unbreakable spirit, a guarded heart and an unending longing for You.
