Free printable double digit subtraction worksheet
My daughter is struggling in math a bit, she’s very smart but often feels the need to rush through her work and start guessing. I did the same as a kid so I know I don’t have much room to talk! But I wanted to start her off on a better foot and work with her at home to help her slow down and practice her math skills.
Like all my worksheets i’ll preface this with the fact that I am not a teacher, i’m just a mom looking to help her own child and others! However, I do run all my worksheets by a teacher friend and got the stamp of approval for this one!
Who this printable is for:
These worksheets focus on double digit subtraction only, if you’re looking for more you may want to check out our double digit addition worksheets!
The subtraction problems range from easier ones like 12-8 to more complex ones like 65-14. There are no negative numbers here, the goal was to make it a practice sheet not to confuse your child haha. And it’s OK if your child cannot do all of them! The goal here is to practice and give you a way to work with them at home in a calm environment.

Subtraction worksheets for second and third graders
The age range for these math problems is going to vary on the child, however, double digit subtraction is most common in second grade. The goal of these sheets are to provide help for your child so if they’re struggling (like mine) it doesn’t matter what age they are! You can help them master their skills in no time.
Don’t feel the need to give your child all the worksheets at once though, start with one and go from there to see how they’re doing. Seeing so many problems may overwhelm them so use a sheet at a time to work on it slowly with them.
